I am 48 years old female, a resident of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, was admitted in Indraprastha Apollo
Hospital with complaints of weight loss along with acute epigastric pain radiating to my back, on
17.03.06. I had been sufferings with chronic calcified pancreatitis from the last 15 years
from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Luknow. My
clinical investigations revealed Hb of 9.4 g/dl,TLC 4500/cu mm, serum albumin 2.9 g/dl,serum amylase
28 U/L and lipase 64 U/L and CA - 19.9 was 3182 U/ml.A repeat CA-19.9 investigation indicates 4525
U/ml. An abdominal CT scan was done which showed an acute on chronic pancreatitis with
multiloculated collection in lesser sac region with few nodularity around the head of pancreas. The cause
of nodularity was not clear and in view of very high CA 19.9, carcinoma pancreas was suspected.
However, FNAC of pancreas done on 23.03.06 revealed chronic pancreatitis. In view of high tumor
marker repeat biopsy with histopathological examination was advised. However due to the treatment
dilemma, prognosis and follow-up associated with carcinoma pancreas I and my relatives did not agree
for a repeated histopathology. I was treated conservatively with NBM, IV antibiotics, IV human albumin,
antacids and pain killers. Finally I was discharged on 31.03.06 with an advice of soft fat free diet, oral
antibiotics, pain killers, enzymes and antacids. I was also advised to take Human Mixtard
injection(30/70) 14 units S/C before breakfast and 12 units S/C before dinner. I took these medicines for 4
days.
Then my relatives contacted Vaidya Balendu Prakash and I was taken to his clinic on 05.04.06. After
consulting with Vaidji we decided to try his treatment. At that time I was quit ill, cachexic and anorexic. I
was entirely managed by him with regulated diet, lifestyle and ayurvedic medicines. I noticed gradual
improvement after the start of ayurvedic therapy. Haematology report on 26.06.06 reveled Hb 11.3 g/dl,
TLC 6100/cu mm, glycosylated Hb A1-C 7.07% The LFT, KFT and haematology report done on
08.09.06 revealed all clinical parameters in normal range. The serum CA 19.9 was 98.2 U/ml and Carcino
Embryonic Antigen 7.54 ng/ml.
I was relative symptom free until 1st November when I again presented to the clinic of Vaidya Balendu
Prakash with mild fever, loss of appetite and weight and feet edema. I was treated with his own prepared
medicines (herbominerals, diet and complete rest).
I gradually recovered with ayurvedic treatment. The haematology report on 09.04.08 reveled serum CA 19.9 as 22.40(within normal limit) and Carcino Embryonic Antigen 4.81 mg/ml. Vaidya ji has stopped all medicines now. Though I continued to follow dietry and lifestyle related advise given by him. I recollect my memory when I husband had initial six weeks treatment at his hospital in Dehradun. Those days were full of anxiety and now all of us in the family are full of joy and happiness. I have gained more than 10Kg body weight in 2 years (now 50Kg)
I did not notice any side effect of ayurvedic treatment. Vaidya Ji wants to give me further treatment for 90 days in coming winters.
I am thankful to Almighty, Vaidya Ji, all staff members at his clinic and support of my family to
save my life. |
