	Recovery from Hairy Cell Leukaemia Sathish Kumar M.L.                           I am Sathish, aged about 44 years. I started getting rashes on my face in January 2006, when I contacted a physician who gave some allergy relief tablets. The rashes disappeared. After some days, again, the rashes appeared on my face as before. When I checked up with my brother-in-low who is also a doctor, who advised me to get the blood test done. After the test, it was found that the platelets counts were much below the normal level. After watching about 4-5 months, my case was referred to a hospital in Bangalore, wherein various tests were conducted and the doctor at the hospital diagnosed as Hairy Cell Leukemia. (HCL)..     The doctor informed that I would be on observation for some time and asked to be prepared for chemotherapy treatment if the platelets counts fall below certain level. The cost of the chemotherapy was estimated at Rs. 1.50 lakhs at the minimum. During this period I was feeling more tired both mentally and physically. I was reluctant to under go the chemotherapy treatment due to its cost and side effects. While I was finding out an alternative therapy, consulted Dr. Giridhar Kaje, Ayurvedic Practitioner, who referred Dr. Balendu, Ayurvedic Practioner and insisted to consult him only as he is specialed in leukemia treatment. I contacted Dr. Balendu Prakash, who gave me an appointment, consulted him at Padaav Ayurvedic Centre at Bangalore, in June 2006. After going through the various test reports and examining me, he started giving treatment immediately, in the form of some medicines through Dr. Raghavendra Babu of Padaav Ayurvedic Center. Dr. Balendu Prakash also insisted about strict diet pattern. Both Dr. Balendu Prakash and Dr. Raghavendra Babu were observing my disease status on a regular basis. After successful treatment of about 17 months (whithout any side effects) with strict diet pattern, my platelets counts have come to normal level and now I am leading normal life.
